Read the Bible Together
We believe God speaks through his Word. Each week we open the Bible in small groups and at our public bible talk at Fuel to see who Jesus is and why he matters.
We run regular events on campus every week, helping you connect with others and with God.
We think the Christian life is fundamentally about meeting Jesus and following Jesus. We want people to participate in God’s life, love and mission.
Being human is about learning about love, learning to love. Some of the ways we do this together is:

We want the good news of Jesus to be heard across our campus. Look out for us at the table in the Agora, every week at uni! Come have a chat and ask that question that’s been on your mind!

Our group is shaped and led by students, which means uni life and student voices are at the heart of everything we do. At the same time, we’re supported by staff who guide us in reading the Bible, growing in faith, and sharing Jesus on campus. Together, we’re building a community of students leading our mission through partnership with long-term, campus-based AFES staff.
Meet our people
La Trobe CU is dedicated to serving and loving La Trobe in practical and unique ways. So we host events and activities for both students who identify as Christian and those curious about faith. We think the best way to love our campus is to invite everyone to know Jesus, who brings freedom and meaning to our lives.
Our group at La Trobe began with a few students wanting to explore Jesus together. Over time, we’ve grown into a community of friends, learners, and leaders – all seeking to make faith meaningful in uni life. There’s a rich history behind how we came to be, and we’d love for you to see it for yourself.
Our history
Our group is part of AFES, a national community of students discovering Jesus together. All AFES groups across Australia stand on the same biblical foundations, seeking to proclaim Jesus faithfully on every campus. Being part of this wider community means we’re connected to other campus groups, supported by experienced staff, and able to be part of something bigger than ourselves.
